Former US President Donald Trump recently took to his social media platform, Truth Social, to criticize
Taylor Swift for showing support to Democratic candidate Kamala Harris. Trump’s harsh statement,
where he openly declared his dislike for the pop star, has sparked conversations, especially within his
own supporters. One of those affected is Brittany Mahomes, wife of Kansas City Chiefs quarterback
Patrick Mahomes and a vocal Trump supporter.

According to a source who spoke to the Daily Mail, Brittany, a close friend of Swift, was deeply troubled
by Trump’s comment. The source revealed that Brittany views Swift like a sister and believes she hasn’t
done anything to warrant such hostility. While this has shaken Brittany, the source clarified that her
discontent doesn’t indicate she’s shifting political allegiance, but rather that she is reconsidering her
public support for Trump.

Last month, Brittany had endorsed Trump for the 2024 presidential election, which resulted in backlash
from the public. In response, she defended herself through an Instagram story, criticizing “haters” and
suggesting that such negativity stemmed from unresolved personal issues. Despite initially liking one of
Trump’s posts, Brittany has since seemingly removed the interaction, possibly due to the ongoing
criticism she faced.
While Brittany remains a supporter, Trump’s targeting of Swift has left her questioning the intensity of her
public support for him moving forward.
